What Barb remembers, and deleting it

Barb remembers what you told it and the guides it suggested, so you don't repeat yourself. Ask what it knows, or have it forget you.

What it keeps

  • What you told it you want: the activity, where, when, your group, experience, budget, and short notes.
  • The guides it suggested, and the ones you said no to (never suggested again).
  • Your trips booked through it, and the trip group chats you're in.

Guides never see it. It's deleted a year after your last message, or sooner when you ask.

By message

Ask Barb "what do you know about me?" and it tells you all of it. To delete it, ask Barb to forget you. Barb asks you in fixed words, with a code, and only your own reply with that code deletes anything:

Client: What do you know about me?

Barb: You're looking for a fly fishing trip on the Madison River in June, for 2, and you're both fairly new to it. I suggested Madison Drift and Bridger Outfitters, and you booked with Madison Drift.

Client: Please forget me.

Barb: Delete everything I know about you? That's what you want, the guides I suggested, our messages, your contact details on requests (open ones are called off, a booking stays with its guide), your reviews, and every number and email linked to you. Reply DELETE 4821 to delete it all. Anything else keeps it.

Client: DELETE 4821

Barb: Done. I've called off your open requests, taken down your reviews, and deleted what I knew about you, our messages, and every number and email linked to you. Write anytime to start fresh.

On the site

  1. Step 1: Sign in to Your trips with a code sent to your phone or email.
  2. Step 2: Under What Barb remembers, see what's kept.
  3. Step 3: To delete it, type DELETE under Have Barb forget you and press Forget me.

Forgetting covers every number and email you've linked on Your trips. Trips you booked stay with your guides, and a trip someone else added you to stays with theirs (without your phone or email). See the privacy policy for everything we keep and for how long.

Still stuck? Ask Barb, or email [email protected].
