Delete your data
Last updated November 1, 2026
You can have Barb Outdoors delete your information at any time. This covers everything in our privacy policy, including what we got if you signed in with Google, Apple, or Facebook.
Three ways to ask
- In the Barb Outdoors app: open You, then Delete account.
- On the website: sign in to Your trips and choose "Have Barb forget you".
- By email: write to [email protected] from the email address you use with us, or include the phone number you use. We first check it's you by asking you to confirm from that number or address.
You can also text our concierge "forget me"; it asks you to reply DELETE to confirm.
What we delete
- The email address and account ID we kept from Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in, and the link between that account and your trips. (We never keep your name or picture from them.)
- Your messages with our concierge and what it remembers about you, your contact details on your requests, your linked phone numbers and emails, and your reviews.
- Your phones' notification tokens and the app's usage records about you. Every sign-in, on every phone and browser, ends.
- Your email on the waitlist. We keep only a scrambled code of it (and the dates), so no one can sign you up again.
Bookings you made with a guide are kept by Barb for that guide, as Barb's privacy policy describes, because the law requires booking and payment records to be kept for a time.
Removing the connection on Facebook
On Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites, and remove Barb Outdoors. That stops Facebook from signing you in to Barb Outdoors. To delete what we already have, use one of the three ways above. On Google or Apple, remove Barb Outdoors from your account's connected apps the same way.
How long it takes
In the app, on the website, or with your DELETE reply to our concierge, it happens right away. By email, we delete your information within 30 days of confirming it's you.
